On Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006, our family went to the COFOCC Christmas party. It was great and everyone was so friendly! Oh, the babies and the not so babies were all so pretty! We are so hoping that next year our daughter will be home. Anyhow, there was a candlelight ceremony for parents who returned home with their child from China this year and for those families (like us) who are still waiting. It was touching and my husband, me and my mother were crying! Now, to warn you, This is not a great picture of me. I just had gallbladder surgery 2 days prior to this. I was in PAIN and was really swollen!!!!! But, I was determined to go! Right honey? Thanks to the Swick family for the picture!
Here is a poem that was read during the candle light ceremony.....
BORN IN MY HEART
It took me a while to realize
But now I clearly see
when I look into your eyes
I know it was meant to be
a simple twist of fate, I guess
was holding us apart
but my child I must confess
you've always lived inside my heart
a stranger to you I am right now
but the time is drawing near
and soon you too will see just how
you've always been right here
